Activities On or Around Lomej Hills

Guided nature walks or hiking

The Lomej Hills are mainly reached on foot within 4-5 hours and these guided nature walks/hikes begin at 7:00am. If you are interested in short hikes/guided walks, you can opt for the two-hour option that transverses through the Narus Valley. This extends for about 5 kilometers radius from Apoka visitor center.

Bird watching

You can’t talk of bird watching in Kidepo valley National Park without mentioning Lomej Hills, because it offers lots of bird species that you might not encounter in other areas. Expect to see Pygmy falcons, Jackson’s hornbills and so much more.

When Is the Best Time to Explore the Hills?
