Mount Zulia, also referred as Lothulia is one of the mountains within the Karamoja region in the north-eastern side of Uganda. This stunning mountain is strategically located in Kidepo Valley National Park thus making it ideal for travellers interested in combining wildlife safaris with mountain climbing adventures. Zulia is close to Mount Morungole as well as the Dodoth the Labwor Hills that extend to altitudes of 6600 feet (2000 meters) above sea level. The dense forests of Mount Zulia are partly protected by the Mount Zulia Forest Reserve.

Mount Zulia itself is 7,051 feet (2,149 meters) above sea level and occupied by the Toposa people of Eastern Equatorial. These people are said to have originated from the Losolia Mountains, after a severe drought that reportedly killed both people and their livestock. Being at the higher peaks of this mountain guarantees views of animals within Kidepo Valley National Park such as lions, Burchell’s zebras, Rothschild giraffes, Defassa waterbucks, warthogs, Cape buffaloes and African bush elephants among others.
